Published: 20 November 2017
From 22 September 2017 to 21 January 2018
Located in the 7th arrondissement of the City of Light, Paris, until January 21st, 2018, the Musée Maillol, will be holding an important exhibit featuring an outstanding selection of Pop Art works.
The selection, which features works from the renowned collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art of New York, reveals to the public about sixty outstanding artworks varying from paintings to prints to sculptures made by some of the most popular figures of Pop Art.
Using the techniques usually used by advertisers, comic strips, and intense contrasting colors, the artists of this movement created some of the most humorous and ironic works that mainly target consumerism and draw attention to its impact on the American society.
The exhibition “Pop Art – Artists that matter” shows unique and amazing pieces by great artists including Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Jim Dine, Roy Lichtenstein, James Rosenquist, Tom Wesselmann, and Alex Katz.
Our hotel http://www.hotelriviera-paris.com is not far from the museum. So, consider visiting it and discover what this fascinating exhibit has to offer you.
