From 13 June 2017 to 24 September 2017

The Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume Paris presents "Camera in Love", the largest overview of the filmic and photographic work of the famous Dutch photographer and filmmaker Ed van der Elsken.

Running from June 13 until September 24, 2017, the exhibition highlights the interest this great artist had in depicting the lives of the countercultural groups around the world as well as in the different forms of love. It brings to light his multidisciplinary talents and experience by showcasing a various selection of his creations including his photographic works and films, in addition to some of the platforms he used to present his pieces.

200 prints and a dozen of movies are on view. From the reckless bohemians of postwar Paris to the oppressed people of South Africa, different themes are spotlighted on the occasion of this event.

Set in the 1st district of Paris, in the north corner of the Tuileries Gardens, the Galerie du Jeu de Paume opens its doors for all those who would like to attend this exhibition which will give you the opportunity to understand the reason why this artist was and still is considered one of the greatest street photographers of the modern times.
